Every small brand has a person behind it.
For GeloGroove, that person is me, Tess (what friends and family calls me), the owner behind a store created for people who still feel something when the right song comes on.
Gelogroove was built for music lovers who know music is more than background noise. It is memory. It is identity. It is the album that takes you back, the song that reminds you of someone, and the sound that makes a moment feel alive again.
That is the feeling behind GeloGroove.
Sometimes life throws you a curveball, and mine led me right back to what I have always loved most; music. It’s been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My mom and dad both played instruments and could sing, and so could their siblings. I even pick out a few tunes on the guitar myself.
Christmas gatherings were pure joy, the whole family singing through the holidays, instruments coming out, everyone just in it together. Music was never just background noise in my family. It was how we connected.
Starting GeloGroove was my way of turning that lifelong love into something I could share with other music lovers, one design at a time.
My favourite music era is the 80s. Bold hooks, big feelings, and album covers that were basically art in their own right. Nothing captures the spirit of GeloGroove quite like it.
Not just another T-shirt store. Not fast fashion. Not random graphics.
GeloGroove is about music-inspired designs that feel familiar the moment you see them.
I started GeloGroove with a simple idea: some people do not just listen to music; they carry it with them.
They remember album covers, record players, mixtapes, car radios, lyrics, and the songs that became part of their story.
I still remember… I was in grade 7, working after school and saving every cent I earned. The album I was saving for? Roxette’s Look Sharp! I still remember buying it, getting home, and playing it over and over, for hours until I knew every note by heart.
That record wasn’t just music to me; it was proof that something you save for and choose for yourself hits different. That feeling never left me.
And THAT is who GeloGroove is for.
Every design is chosen with one question in mind:
Would someone feel something when they wear this?
Because the right T-shirt is not just about color, fabric, or fit. It is about recognition. It is about seeing a design and thinking, “That’s me.”
Some designs are funny. Some are nostalgic. Some are for vinyl collectors, old-school music lovers, classic rock fans, cassette kids, and anyone who believes music used to feel a little more real.
GeloGroove is small, independent, and intentionally personal.
